PRESS RELEASE
COPENHAGEN, MAY 7, 2021 – Given the circulation of information in the media about countries interested in purchasing vaccines against COVID-19, that are currently not in use in Denmark, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Copenhagen would like to inform the public in Denmark and Bosnia and Herzegovina of the following:
Bosnia and Herzegovina, through this Embassy, was one of the first countries that at the beginning of April, on two occasions, once for AstraZeneca vaccines and the second time for Jonson & Johnson vaccines against COVID-19, officially informed the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark about Bosnia and Herzegovina's readiness to buy a certain number of vaccines against COVID-19, which have been currently withdrawn from the national vaccine roll-out by a decision of the Danish Medical Agency and the Danish Health Authorities.
The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not received any response so far, as the Danish government has not yet officially decided on the fate of these vaccines which are not to be used at this point in time.
